Night of the Blogging Dead
Well, it was fun while it lasted... THIS WAS THE EXPANSION PAGE... Due to a lack of TIME, I will be concentrating all of my efforts on my original film blog. This page will be up and running for a week or so, and then I'm shutting it down. You will still find all the latest and goriest trailers, horror news and features on my original blog. Thanks.

Horror: Just watched 'Devil' and I am not freaked out, nor am I impressed. I guess I was expecting to feel a bit more claustrophobic. Ever since 'Lady in the Water' I've slowly become less and less of a fan. I believe he has a special kind of creativity, and a knack for suspense, that no other film director/writer possesses. I haven't given up on him yet!

Horror: I recently revisited 'Ichi the Killer', and my brain is still spinning in a whirl of adrenaline. There's a warning on the DVD that states "This title contains scenes of graphic violence, self mutilation, torture, sexual situations and rape", so consider yourself WARNED! 'Ichi' does not pull any punches and each scene is more shocking than the next. The glue that holds this violent arthouse film together is the directing style of Takashi Miike, who understands the language of violence, and splatters it all over the screen with buckets of blood and severed limbs. 'Ichi' truly is a unique horror film experience.

Horror: I (FINALLY) just watched 'The Human Centipede', and I couldn't get to my blog fast enough to write about it! Woa. Everything I heard about the extreme nature of this film was true. Interestingly enough, out of EVERYBODY that I know that saw it, NOBODY had admitted to liking it (which I know they secretly did), only stating that they had "seen it"... So I'll be the first to say, "I thought this movie was GREAT!!!!!" A dominant theme in this film is the overwhelming feeling of hopelessness and despair, which this film really captures in it's many cruel and punishing scenes. 'Human Centipede' is definitely a film that you need to see to believe. TOTALLY original story, GREAT VILLAIN, and each scene is more sick and twisted than the next. Can't wait for the sequel!
